frog fact
With numerous site constraints including an uneven 9,000 sf lot, only Frog’s flexible building system had the ability to fit 2 high performance classrooms with an exterior courtyard.
Earning the name, “The Little School That Could”, Vaughn Next Century Learning Center, a LAUSD Charter School, is truly a model for school reform locally, nationally and globally. Raising academic achievement through programs such as accelerated English learning and school-wide literacy, Vaughn vastly improves the future prospects of students from adverse backgrounds.
The school continues to stay ahead of the curve: In August 2010, two state-of-the-art Frog classrooms opened to enhance their new sustainability program. The unique curriculum focuses on lessons of sustainable practices using the Frog buildings as a 3,000 sf teaching tool. The students will be aptly prepared for a future in California green jobs.
